Check-in and stamps

Check-in is where a guest becomes a member. Every check-in leaves a stamp in the pass — proof that someone was really there.

Open check-in

Go to Manage → Guests and click Open check-in. You set:

  • the stamp name and an image for it,
  • the venue QR cap (default 100 check-ins),
  • when the venue QR expires (default: six hours after the event ends),
  • roles granted at check-in, if any,
  • Invite checked-in guests to the community (default on). If off, guests keep guest access only.

Two ways in at the door

  1. Guests scan the venue QR, for example on a stand at the bar, and tap Check in.
  2. You scan tickets with Scan tickets using the camera. If your browser can't read QR codes, take a picture with the camera app and paste the code, or use the guest list.

You can also check in anyone by hand with Check in in the guest list.

What check-in does

  • Membership: checked-in guests become members of the community (if switched on).
  • Access to the event page with its feed and guest list.
  • The event stamp in their pass.

Roles at the door

You can grant a role at check-in, for example "Brooklyn" for guests at the Brooklyn chapter's run. Only roles below your own can be chosen, and none that manage the community.

Who can run check-in

The community's owner and anyone with a role that may manage events in that calendar or post there. People added only as co-hosts on the event can't open check-in.

Stamps in the pass

Members see their stamps on their profile page in the community under "Stamps". The member directory shows how often someone came. More in Profile and privacy.
